Cute Cat Nail Art Water Decals!!

Hello friends!!

Today Creative Nails has got some cute cats for you in the nail basket 🙂 :-). These are water decals bought from Born Pretty Store. These must be dipped in water before using to expose their adhesive side. They are not very sticky, which means you can move them around as much as you want to get them positioned just right. On the other hand, traditional adhesive stickers are very sticky and so you need to place them carefully and you get only one shot to place them at the exact position. Most of us know how to use sticky stickers but not water decals. In case if you have never used water decals before, don’t you worry! Creative Nails will help you! Follow these simple steps.

1) Paint your nails with clear polish and let it dry.

2) Apply the base coat matching your water decal. Let it dry.

3) Cut the water decals with scissor. Don’t worry if your decal is not having clear boarder but take care to see that you will not cut the plastic protective coating.

4) Take water in a bowl and put the decals in water. Leave the decal under the surface of the water for about 15-20 seconds.

5) Remove your decal from the water and it should easily slide off of the paper backing. If the decal does not slip off, it means you didn’t submerge it long enough under the water.

6) Carefully take the decal and place it on your nail. It is not so sticky. So you can slowly slide and re-position the decal.

7) Wait a couple minutes till the droplets of water have dried up and then apply a topcoat to get the decal to really stick onto your nails.

8) You are done!!!

Zombie Nails For Halloween!!

Hello friends
How are Halloween preparations going on? In the previous post (https://creativenails.in/2015/10/17/halloween-glow-nails/) , Creative Nails had tried to give the feel of Halloween using a neon glow nail polish. But Halloween is incomplete without zombies, isn’t it?

As we all know, a zombie is a fictional un-dead creature created through the reanimation of human corpse.  I call it a living dead body!!

Here are my zombie nails! Hope you like them!!!

Daandiya Raas On Nails!!

Hello friends!

Creative Nails wishes you a very Happy Navaratri! As a part of Navaratri Creative Nails have arranged “Dandiya Raas” on nails!

The Dandiya Raas dance is performed in Goddess Durga’s honor. This dance form is actually the staging of a mock-fight between Goddess Durga and Mahishasura, the mighty demon-king. This dance is also nicknamed ‘The Sword Dance’. The sticks of the dance represent the sword of Goddess Durga.

The women wear traditional dresses such as colorful embroidered choli, ghagra and bandhani dupattas (traditional attire) dazzling with mirror work and heavy jewellery. The men wear special turbans and kedias, but this varies regionally.

During the dance, dancers energetically whirl and move their feet and arms in a complicated, choreographed manner to the tune of the music with various rhythms. The dhol is used as well as complementary percussion instruments such as the dholak, tabla, bongos and others.

Welcome Ganesha Nail Design!

Dear friends!

Lord Ganesha is darling of masses. He brings the people of all the religions, castes and creed together.  On the auspicious day of Ganesh Chaturthi, Ganesha Stapana (or Establishment) is done at home or community gatherings during the Shubh Labh or Amrit Choghadiya.

The celebration of this festival is done by worshiping the Lord in a special way for a day and a half, 3 days, 5 days, 7 days or 11 days depending on the family or community tradition. On the last day, the Ganesha idol is taken out in a procession to be immersed traditionally into a pond, any local water body or in the ocean.

During this festival, Ganesha is offered a variety of food items. Modak and Laddu are the favourite foods of our beloved Ganesha. This is the first Ganesh Chaturthi of Creative Nails. Following the tradition, Creative Nails has bought Ganesha on nails and prepared Modak for bhog or prasad.

Dahi Handi On Nails!!

Hello friends!

In Vrindavan during King Kamsa’s rule, the villagers were forced to give everything they produced to Kamsa’s palace in Mathura. The children of Vrindavan were thus deprived of milk products. So child Krishna and his friends started to form human pyramids and broke pots that were hung to ceilings of neighborhood houses, in order to steal curd and butter.

As a symbol of Krishna’s childhood naughtiness during Janmastami “Dahi Handi” is celebrated. Here people make human pyramid and break the pot filled with curd tied at convenient height. A participant in this festival is called a “Govinda” or “Govinda Pathak”.

Hello friends!

Vaudevasutam devam Kamsa chaanura mardhanam|

Devaki paramaanandam Krishnam Vande jagadgurum||

It was midnight and the cells in the prison where the mighty couple Devaki and Vasudeva were locked was being guarded. The world outside was dark. For Kamsa, whose mind was preoccupied with the thoughts of killing his destroyer, the wait was coming to an end. Devaki, Kansa’s sister was delivering her 8th child who was predicted to be the destroyer of all evil and protector of all goodness.

The child was born, the savior of the people from agony and pain finally entered the world in physical forms. Vasudeva feared that his son would be harmed and thus wrapped the baby boy in cloth, put him into a basket and sneaked out of the prison  when all the guards were fast asleep by the eternal spells of the child. Lord Krishna was brought to Gokula, where he spent the rest of his childhood.

In this nail art, Creative Nails have tried to depict the scene of how Vasudeva carried basket on top of his head when the rains were pouring and the river Yamuna was flooded. Baby Krishna was brought safe, protected and sheltered with the help of the king of snakes right across the river.

Happy Janmastami!!
