Hello friends!

It’s time to bid 2017 a good bye and welcome the new year with new dreams and new calendar! 😉

For the new year nail art I chose white as dominant color. Because white is a positive color. It is associated with purity, innocence, light, goodness, heaven, safety, faith, beginnings, sincerity, protection and perfection. White represents as successful beginning.

Pink is a feminine color represents sweetness so I used OPI Katy Perry – The One That Got Away as base color. On top of this beautiful shiny pink I created gradient of magnetic polishes to have a desired textured look. And finally did negative image stamping with MDU white stamping nail polish and LINA – Totally Negative 01 stamping plate.

Holographic Flakies Nail Art!!

Who doesn’t like stunning holographic nails!! 

This post is to introduce you to the holographic flakies we recently launched in our shop.

I have swatched the flakies on black and red base. Am sure you will love the effect. These flakies work great with both gel and regular nail polish.

Directions to use:

With regular nail polish:

1. Apply a layer of dark color like black, red, green etc. and let it semi dry (around 80-90% dry)

2. Take the flakies in an eye shadow brush and gently rub on the base color.

3. Seal it with a good top coat.

With gel nail polish:

1. Apply a layer of dark gel nail color like black, red, green etc. and cure it under UV/LED lamp.

2. Take the flakies in an eye shadow brush and gently rub on the base color.

3. Seal it with gel top coat.

Anyone here like matte nail polishes? I just love them. El Corazon matte and matte neons are my favorite ones. 

I had to do a black and white mani for a birthday collaboration. But sadly white matte nail polish got over so used Revlon matte top coat. It works well but I was expecting a better finish. However I liked the look after Stamping with Lina stamping plate. Though stamping went bad still I felt that its worth sharing with you all. ☺️ Do comment below if you like this mani.

Last year, Creative Nails had a Creepy Bloody Halloween!. This year, I thought of doing a nail art of one of my favorite supernatural characters, Vampire! So I selected an American supernatural drama television series, Vampire Diaries, for my nail art. This series is developed by Kevin Williamson and Julie Plec, based on the popular book series of the same name written by L. J. Smith. The series premiered on The CW on September 10, 2009 and concluded on March 10, 2017, airing 171 episodes over eight seasons.

The Supreme Court of India has rightly ordered the ban on sale of crackers in some of the major cities in India. This will greatly help in reducing air and noise pollution.

Like all my previous Diwali posts, this year too, I urge each and every one of you to shun crackers and celebrate a bright and colourful Diwali with lights, lanterns, diyas and not to forget – all the yummy food!

Teacher’s Day 2017 – Thank You Teacher Nail Art!

Technology has made it easier for students to learn with devices new, but nothing can come close to the experience of being taught by an inspirational teacher. Throughout my student life I had many such teacher’s to correct my mistakes and guide me in right path. Though I was a favorite student of my teacher’s and they never used to scold me still, I used to get scared them 🙈🙈 But now I know that fear was not just because I may get scold or punished. It was due to the respect I had for them. It used to stop me from committing mistakes. Today when I look back I can’t stop myself from thanking all my teachers for their care, love and efforts in making me a better person. Thank you TEACHER! 

I also want to thank my mom as in Kannada there is a saying “maneye modala patashale tayeeye modala guru”. That means home is the first school and mom is the first tutor.
