I had participated in a nail art competition on Facebook organized by Scra2ch. Scra2ch is a digital collaborative to celebrate the stories of nail artists from around the world who are changing the way women wear their humanity, irreverence and joy on their nails.
This competition was named as Free Spirit Challenge. The Jury for this challenge was headed by International Celebrity Nail Designer, Patricia Yankee.

Friends, Modiji is a ray of hope for the Indian economy. But Modiji alone cannot make India a developed country. As citizens of India even we have to contribute towards achieving this goal!
Let’s say you are going to your friend’s or relative’s house and you find that garbage is dumped in front of house. Would you even like to have a sip of water in that house? You will never like to visit that house again. Isn’t it? Will you like if the same reaction is shown towards India by other countries? Never ever will you like it!! So friends, stop throwing packets of chocolates, junk foods etc. on public property. Use toilets and help keep India clean!!

After fishes and caterpillars, now it’s the turn of the Tiger. The tiger is the largest of the cat species, reaching a total body length of up to 3.38 m (11.1 ft) over curves and weighing up to 388.7 kg (857 lb) in the wild!! Isn’t it quite dangerous to get such a huge and wild animal on nails? So this time Creative Nails has bought only prints resembling the tiger. With this nail art, Creative Nails wants to leave a message to all those people who buy items made from animal body parts – “Please save these wild animals from extinction; else, in future, we may get to see them only in art galleries and museums”

Today, Creative Nails is presenting Mother’s Day special Nail Design. Mother’s Day is a modern celebration honoring one’s own Mother, as well as Motherhood, maternal bonds, and the influence of Mothers in society. The modern American holiday of Mother’s Day was first celebrated in 1908, when Anna Jarvis held a memorial for her Mother in Grafton, West Virginia. Her campaign to make “Mother’s Day” a recognized holiday in the United States began in 1905, the year her beloved Mother, Ann Reeves Jarvis, died. Anna’s mission was to honor her own Mother by continuing work she started and to set aside a day to honor Mothers, “the person who has done more for you than anyone in the world”. Anna’s Mother, Ann Jarvis, was a peace activist who cared for wounded soldiers on both sides of the Civil War and created Mother’s Day Work Clubs to address public health issues (Source: http://www.wikipedia.org).
Anna Jarvis founded Mother’s Day to honor one’s Mother but now it’s been commercialized. Friends, let’s celebrate this Mother’s Day in a unique way. Make handmade cards instead of buying those readymade one’s, cook her favorite food at home instead of taking her to a restaurant, sit with her and recall those acts of mischief you did during your childhood. Let her feel special! Don’t limit this only for today. Each Day should be made special for her after all she is “MOTHER- Most Outstanding Teacher, Helper, Energetic, Resource.”
